Answers:St. Louis Area Christian Links and associated web sites exist to facilitate communication among religious groups and individuals. We intend to fill part of the void left by the departure of the Council of Lutheran Churches of Greater St. Louis and its Saint Louis Lutheran newspaper. The short answer is: You. All people, churched, un-churched, of any, all and no denomination are welcome and encouraged to use this web site. There are posting restrictions as published in our Posting Policy document, available here in PDF format. All labor is by committed volunteers. Among them are clerical, graphic, programming, public relations, communication, advertising and clergy retirees as well as students. All work is done as a response to grace. Is this web site related to commercial sites? Absolutely not. We are often confused with commercial sites whose web address or name is similar to ours but ends with ".com". There is no relationship. We do not sell anything or request donations. From the beginning in 2005 through 2007 we relied on much-appreciated donations from churches and individuals. On January 1, 2008 all overhead and operating expenses were assumed by anonymous private donors through June 31, 2011. Beginning July 1, 2011 we welcomed a new anonymous donor who replaced and assumed the role of previous donors. Thanks to all who have made this operation possible and enjoyable. If this service is valuable to you or your church organization, and you are able to assist us with your contribution, don't send money but support us with your prayers and by donating one or more cans of food per day to your nearest food pantry or kitchen, homeless shelter or hungry neighbor. Past, current and future events in the current year are kept on the Calendar page. Current and upcoming events are easily accessed on the Home Page through the Page Index (select "Upcoming events"), through the Event Category box near the top right corner of most pages or through the Calendar page. New categories are added and old, unused categories are republished as needed. Direct link: Send Event How do I change or update previously posted event? Click Send Event on the top menu and fill out the form with the correct information indicating what fields (boxes) are changed in the box labeled: "If your previously posted event has changed, give details:" Direct link: Send Event How do I send my web link and worship schedule? There is room for your church, church organization, ministry or parochial school web-site link on the Resources page. If you don't have a web site just send the applicable information. How do I view and send parochial school information? Information about curriculum, faculty, goals and methods to achieve them, enrollment period, accreditation status, class size, etc., is posted on the Parochial Schools page. Services offered through St. Louis Area Christian Links are the responsibly of the individual or organization that submits them. When you respond to any of these you contract or deal directly with them and not with St. Louis Area Christian Links. Click Services Info or the desired service on the top menu. Direct link: Services How do I post an employment opening? If your church or church-related agency has a job opening, click Employment on the top menu and fill out the form linked on that page. After review (this is not the want ads) your notice will be placed on the Employment page. Notices will be displayed for about a month or until we are notified that the position is filled. If your notice is removed and the position is not filled, resubmit it. Direct link: Employment How do I post an item for donation? Churches/organizations/individuals with surplus material and supplies are welcome to post details on the Surplus Items page. Do not post clothing items: take them to Goodwill or Salvation Army. If your church or church-related agency needs volunteer help click Volunteers on the top menu and fill out the linked form.
